First, the quality of this wire is great. I read that some SS wire needs to be cleaned before use, but that is not the case here. There was no residue on it and it appears to be flawless.
However the wire is really hard to work with. It is pretty springy. Worse you can't light it up like you can with kanthol, so it is hard to see if there are any hot spots. I am not taking any points off for this, because it is my inexperience more than a problem with the wire that causes this problem. The coils need to be wrapped super tight, and a torch might help (I don't have one, its on the list). Other wise even the slightest adjustment can make the coil go out of whack. If you are new to building coils like I am, you may want to start with kanthol in stead. This wire is doable, but I have had to build a lot of coils to get a good one. Just a tip, the easiest way to build a coil with this stuff imo is to get a screw of the diameter you want and make your coil that way. To me the flavor is not as good compared to a micro coil where the coils are touching, but at least it is easier to avoid hot spots.
A good wire, but maybe not for beginners. I got the 28g, maybe the 26g would be easier to work with.

Easy to work with and very durable. Works wonderful in temp control with out the metalic taste like ni200. Only wire i use now for tc and power mode.

The best wire for wraping your own coils, works perfect with all my temp control devices that support SS. No metal taste like NI200 or off flavor like Kanthal, better flavor than TIA1. This is my new go to wire for getting the true flavor of my ejuice. I DIY and I can say without a doubt you will love this wire!

I've bought multiple rolls of 24ga and 26ga, by far the 26ga is my favorite. The easiest way to explain how SS 316L wire vapes, is to say it gives you Nickel flavor, but without having to use temp control if you don't want to. All my RDA's and RTA's now only have this wire in it. For RTA's I recommend 6-7 wrap spaced dual coils for perfect flavor and plenty of vapor prod. And 8 wraps 24ga contact dual coils ohm out at .2 around 2.5mm in RTA's give a awesome vape around 50 watts! EV has exceeded all my expectations with customer service, and has been the fastest shipping I've ever got. Youde is the only SS wire I can find, I wish it came in longer rolls, but for $4.99 I can't complain. Awesome wire!!! Trying to stock up for a while! :) Thanks EV!

I enjoy having coils that stay clean longer. 316L is simply low resistance wire. My 5 star rating is for their customer service. Very responsive!

Enjoying the performance, and flavor off this wire. Glad I read some reviews and purchased the 28 gauge, that was helpful as it takes 10 wraps around my 2.5mm coil tool to get a 1 ohm coil, which I prefer on my sigelei/ Lemo setup. Would have taken 16 wraps for the same coil if I purchased 26 gauge. Thanks steam-engine. Looking forward to trying the Clapton wire, and the new titanium wire also.

Resistance is low so more wraps and ramp up time isn't affected.. Win Win Win... its all I use now

I noticed some of the new sub ohm tanks were coming with stainless coils so I decided to give it a try. I have about 3 minutes worth of patience per day and this wire doesn't test that limit. It's very cooperative.
I clean every wire I use with alcohol before use and I don't do a lot of dry burning. If you do dry burn you'll notice the resulting coil color to be different from Kanthal. I've built both spaced and micro coils with the 316L and all have been sturdy, easy to maintain and long lasting. They ohm out a tad lower than Kanthal but not as low as titanium or nickel.
